Douglas C. Wustrack, 72 of Staplehurst, NE passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the Central Nebraska Veterans Home in Kearney. The family will hold private family services at a later date.

Doug was born September 8, 1952 in David City, Nebraska to Charles and Marjorie (Sanley) Wustrack. He received his education from Fremont High School and later graduated from Seward High School. Doug proudly served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam from 1971 until his honorable discharge in 1974. Doug was united in marriage to Connie Schluckebier. To this union three children were born. Doug was a long time employee of Hughes Brothers and later the Seward County Roads Department.

Doug was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Staplehurst, NE. He enjoyed fishing, horses, westerns, Husker athletics and his cherished dog Buddy. In his younger years, Doug was a member of the fastpitch softball league in Ulysses, NE.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Nicki (Matt) Schaefer of Staplehurst, Trevor (Shannon) Wustrack of Falls City and Travis (Ashley) Wustrack of Lincoln; grandchildren, Braeden Dey, Landen Schaefer, Reid, Emmett and Vivian Wustrack, Connor and Owen Wustrack; as well as many extended family and friends.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Rose Wustrack Keelan; sister, Charlene (Bruce) Bell; son-in-law, Scott Dey; and ex-wife, Connie Wustrack.
