Dovie Bryan Obituary

MONETTE - Dovie Leavern Bryan, 89, of Monette, the widow of Mr. Howard Bryan, passed from this life Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at St. Bernard's Medical Center. Daughter of the late Isaac and Juanita Barnes Roberts, she was born in Leachville where she spent most of her life before moving to Monette in 2006. Dovie was a homemaker and a member of the Monette Assembly of God.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Bryan; a brother, Elmer Roberts; and a grandson, Thomas Eugene Bryan.

Survivors include three daughters, Diane Barton (David) of Monette, Gail Belcher (Willie) of Cherry Valley, and Marilyn Monte (Jude) of Franklin, Tenn.; two brothers, Delmer Roberts (Sandy) of Atlanta, Ga., and Jerry Roberts (Jean) of Elkhart, Ind. Dovie also leaves seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be today, 3 p.m., at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Brother B.R. Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors today, from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
