Doyle Ray Collier, 67, died August 7, 2023, in Overland Park, Kansas. He was born on October 16, 1955, in Independence, MO the son of: John Robert Collier and Lula Mae Collier (Griffin).
Doyle began his career at the age of 17 and worked for more than 50 years making an incredible difference in many lives as a prosthetist. He eventually owned his own business and retired with many honors and awards in his field. His interests included family, golf, tennis, hunting and fishing. He loved to travel and had planned to spend his retirement traveling to golf courses around the globe.
Doyle is survived by his wife of 44 years Sheila Collier (James); daughters Taylor Miinch (married to Stephen Miinch) and Shelby Roberts (married to Joel Roberts); brother: Michael Collier (married to Tammy Collier); grandchildren Easton Crew Miinch, Olivia Rose Miinch and Quinley Raye Roberts.
He was preceded in death by his father John Collier and mother Lula Jones; brother: James Collier (married to Helga Collier), infant sister: Terry Collier, and uncles: Ervin Griffin, Fae Griffin, Jerald Griffin, and Jerry Griffin.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Johnson County Funeral Chapel 11200 Metcalf Ave Overland Park, KS 66210. The Visitation will be at 2:00 pm with the Funeral Service following at 3:00 pm. Memorial contributions in memory of Doyle are suggested to Steps of Faith https://stepsoffaith.kindful.com.
