Doyle Dean Cook, who resided in Spiro, Oklahoma, died Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Fianna Hills Nursing & Rehab in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on March 30, 1950, in Bloomer near Charleston, Arkansas, to the late Oda Cook and Irene (Brewer) Cook. He was 72 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianna Fern (Wood) Cook; a sister, infant Phyllis Ann Cook; and four brothers, infant Bobby Gene Cook, Emmett Cook, Billy Joe Cook, and Jimmy Cook.
Doyle was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force. During his 22 year career, he was SMSGT and Fire Protection Superintendent. Doyle was of the Southern Baptist faith.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 8th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Jimmy Cook and Ryan S. Cook officiating. Burial will follow, with full military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard, at Morris Cemetery in Bloomer, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
He is survived by his children, Ryan Cook and wife Heather of Stigler, Oklahoma, Tamberly Granite of Spiro, Oklahoma, Belinda Owens and husband Gerald of Fort Smith, and Tina Adams and husband Curtis of Pocola, Oklahoma; two sisters, Debbie Walker of Charleston and Dinah Kaman and husband Tony of Van Buren; three brothers, Donald Cook and wife Lena and Frank Cook and wife Glenda, all of Charleston, and Terry Cook and partner David of Fort Smith; nine grandchildren, Mercedes, Brigette and Porsha Granite, Shane Owens and wife Amy, Haley Evans and husband Robert, Cobe and Cambry Cook, and Brooklyn and Addison Adams; four great-grandchildren, Tegan, Langston, and Harrison Owens and Beau Evans, and one on the way, Madilyn Evans.
Pallbearers are Randy Harvey, Chris Tanner, Shane Owens, Robert Evans, Gerald Owens, and Cobe Cook.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
