Doyle Edward Skaggs, 68 of Paragould, passed away January 29, 2026 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on December 17, 1957 in Monette, Arkansas to Grover and Imogene Skaggs. Doyle loved his family greatly especially his loving wife of 50 years Barbara Skaggs.
Doyle worked as a diesel mechanic for 40 years and to say he loved his job was an understatement. He also loved to fish and deer hunt in his spare time. The outdoors was something he loved whether it be outside hunting or simply tinkering on a new, or old, project. Doyle enjoyed flying his airplane whenever he got the chance to. It was always one of his favorite past times.
Doyle is survived by his wife, Barbara; and sisters, Linda Harper, Brenda Moore (Terry), and Patrica “Hootie” Burgess.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Tommy Skaggs and Gerald Skaggs.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 2nd at 1:30 p.m. for a visitation at Phillips Funeral Home. The service will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Den Storms speaking.
