Doyle McClain Strock
Bonneau, SC - Doyle McClain Strock, 84, of Bonneau, South Carolina, husband of the late Kathleen Aldridge Strock, entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 5, 2026. His funeral service will be held in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, at 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, at 11:00 am. Entombment will immediately follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 3093 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC 29414. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Doyle was born August 28, 1941 in St. George, South Carolina, son of the late William Doyle Strock and the late Willhellmina Hughes. He graduated from the Citadel in 1963 with a Civil Engineering degree and an Air Force Commission. He served as a pilot in the Air Force and served in Vietnam. He married his childhood sweetheart and had three children. He dedicated his career to working as a civil engineer, a profession through which he contributed his knowledge, skill, and hard work.
Mack was one of the best men most people have even known. Wonderful husband of 59 years and a wonderful father to present.
He is survived by daughter, Kristin Thomas of North Charleston, SC and Derek Strock of James Island. Grand Children McClain, Keelyn, Dailyn, Lawson and Austin and He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Aldridge Strock, son, Devin, father, William Doyle Strock, and his mother, Willhellmina Strock.
