Doyle Townsend, age 64 passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 2, 2020 in Weatherford, TX. Doyle was predeceased by his parents, Paulene Walker Hogg (Jimmie Hogg) and Albert Townsend (Edith Townsend). Doyle is survived by siblings: Lynda Waters (Bill Waters), JoAnne Townsend Rountree (Dan Rountree), Jimmy Hogg (Melinda Hogg) and Shirley Zay (Dan Zay). He is survived by uncles Jerry Walker, Roy Walker, Harold White, Margaret Walker (aunt) and Carrie Naal-Bockman (niece), Maddie Bockman (great niece) Teri Ruland (niece) and Ty Ruland (nephew) and numerous cousins.
Doyle was born in Weatherford, TX – January 21, 1956. He went to Peaster and Weatherford schools, completing his GED as an adult in 2007. Doyle worked at Wayside Trucking and Henry Darnell Brick and Stone Masonry.
Doyle was a member of Purvis Baptist Church. Doyle has lived in Dublin, Texas for last 7 years and recently moved into Keeneland Nursing & Rehab in January 2020 due to health complications. Doyle will be missed; he had a positive attitude, good outlook and enjoyed spending time with relatives, friends and his 4 legged child – Lady. Doyle on his scooter and Lady, kept the road hot checking out the comings and goings at the Dublin Park and around town, making numerous friends along the way.
The family would like to express sincere thanks to home health care assistants Teresa Miller, Lucy Castaneda, Dr. John Hodges & Dr. Jeffrey Hutchins, Dublin Family Clinic, Brandi Williams, Cardiologist and Texas Health Wound Care in Stephenville for all their care and kindness to Doyle.
