Dozer Yates Obituary

"Dozer" Yates, age76 of Uniontown, KY passed away Monday, July 28, 2025 at his home. He was born March 1, 1949 in Uniontown, KY to Victor and Anna Yates. He was a US Army veteran and life member of Uniontown VFW Post 5488 and American Legion Post 48. He was also a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles. Dozer was a crane operator and member of Operating Engineers Local 181.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Jody Yates; sisters Wanda Creekmore and Sharon Patterson.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years Debra Yates of Uniontown, KY

Sons Josh Yates of Corydon, KY

Jake (Stacey) Yates of Corydon, KY

Grandson Victor Cole Yates

Sister Carolyn Dossett of Henderson, KY

Funeral service will be 11 AM Friday, August 1, 20-25 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown, KY. Fr. Bruce McCarty will officiate.

Visitation will be 9 – 11 AM Friday at the church.

Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Uniontown with full military rites.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church 504 Mulberry Street, Uniontown, KY 42461 or St. Anthony's Hospice 2410 S. Green Street, Henderson, KY 42420.
