Dr. Charlie (The Medicine Man) Rouse, 76, of Albany, GA passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 16, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Sherwood Baptist Church. Rev. Bob Halstead will officiate. Private family interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Charlie was born in Albany, GA and graduated from Killeen High School, Killeen Texas 1966. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia School of Pharmacy RPh in 1971.
Beloved Husband & Father Known as The Medicine Man, Charlie modeled Christ to his family and everyone who knew him. He shared his love kindness and generosity of spirit with everyone he met. Those who have been blessed to know him, will share one common description of him: that they never saw him without a smile on his face. His belief and love for the Lord led to his motto and response to anyone who asked - “better than good.” His occupation was a Pharmacist, Naturopathic Doctor & Pastor. The Medicine Man’s Corner owner www.themedicineman.com., Liberty Baptist Church pastor more than 34 years. He served with the Gideons Ministry, he was Chaplain & Counselor Anchorage Addiction Treatment Center and appeared on numerous radio, television, and podcasts including Town & Country. Enlisted by four international nutraceutical companies as formulator, medical consultant, and lecturer. He traveled and lectured world wide teaching nutraceuticals & natural health alternatives. He formulated his own nutraceutical line of medicine produced and authored Medicine Man’s Protocol. He developed the formula for ENT medicine synthetic cocaine formulation which is still in use today.
He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. Rouse, Jr. and Mary Ruth Christopher Rouse.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Hughes Rouse, Albany, GA, daughter, Jill Amanda Rouse, Birmingham, AL, son, Jason Rouse, Albany, GA, brother, Rodney (Jaxon Riley) Rouse and sister, Mary Ann Brand (Gary) all of Albany, GA.
The family will receive friends Friday in the atrium of Sherwood Baptist Church from 9:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.
