Dr. Eric J Carpenter

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Eric J. Carpenter, 52, of Peterborough New Hampshire. He passed away surrounded by his family after a long illness.

Eric spent his youth in North Kingstown Rhode Island where he graduated from North Kingstown High school in 1991. After high school he completed a four-year Bachelor of Science program at Springfield College in Springfield Massachusetts. He went on to receive his master’s degree at Springfield College and then his Doctorate in Education at University of Massachusetts in Physical Education.

Eric’s professional career included teaching High School at Pinkerton Academy in NH and at both Salisbury University in Maryland and Keene State University in New Hampshire.

Eric had a passion for the sport of soccer where he played and coached at every level including youth and high school teams. Other interests he had were his love for skiing and in his younger days surfing. The true focus of his life was his family.

Eric leaves behind his loving wife, Karolina and his son, Maximilian. Also surviving Eric are his parents Frederick and Janice Carpenter and his sister, Kelly Grogan and her husband James, of Warwick RI.

In Lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Details regarding Eric’s final arrangements and Celebration of Life will be announced in the near future.
