Dr. Wilbert McClay Jr., MD was 76, when he passed into the arms of Jesus to be free forever, no more pain, no sadness, sorrow or weeping anymore with Jesus.
Celebration of Life, will take place on Friday, May 19, 2023, 11am. Service will be held at Living Faith Christian Center, 6375 Winbourne Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70805. Officiated by Bishop Keith Farmer.

Dr Wilbert McClay Jr M.D. Proclamation from Baton Rouge Louisiana Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome.
For over forty-eight years, Dr. Wilbert McClay, Jr., M.D. has served the community as an Internal Medicine Specialist. He graduated from MeHarry Medical College in 1974 and St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital 1975-1976, and has been serving families in Plaquemine and Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and Dr. McClay was known as the Doctor with healing hands, friendly and thorough. He never gave up on any of his patients; and Dr. McClay and his wife Apostle Merchele Robinson partnered together in ministry for the last 12 years as Overseer & Pastor of the Prophets House in Baton Rouge, and Dr McClay has made contributions and support to so many people in both communities, too many to mention; and He was loved by the community at large. He had an open door policy for all of his patients; and Dr. McClay has many tributes and honors to mention; and Dr. Wilbert McClay departed this life on Sunday May 7th, 2023 surrounded by loves ones.
Now, Therefore, I, Sharon Weston Broome, Mayor-President of the City of Baton Rouge and the Parish of East Baton Rouge declare this proclamation on May 19, 2023 with sincere condolences.
