Drew Morgan, 25
Drew Edward Morgan, 25, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, October 12, 2025. He lived a life of kindness and empathy and was dearly loved by his family, students, and friends.
Drew was born September 30th, 2000 in Kalispell, Montana, and grew up in nearby Columbia Falls, where he participated in school and community sports his whole life. As a young boy he loved to draw and doodle and do trick shots on the trampoline and roof with his brothers and friends. He was part of the baseball team that went to the Babe Ruth World Series in 2014, part of the Wildcat state championship football team in 2017, and played football in the East-West Shrine Game in 2019. In high school, he was an outstanding student and National Honor Society member. Drew achieved All-State status in football and track, and one highlight of his senior year was bringing home 5 medals from the state track meet. He graduated from Columbia Falls High School in 2019 and was inducted into the Columbia Falls Hall of Fame for track, football, and basketball. Drew studied for 2 years at Flathead Valley Community College, and then graduated from Montana State University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. He spent the past two years teaching science at Belgrade High School where he was known for his unwavering commitment to his students.
In the wake of Drew's passing, stories of his influence and personal warmth are surfacing, marking out the kind of life that quietly changes people. He loved hiking with friends and family in Glacier Park and the Tetons. Younger cousins in the family adored being around Drew. The past few Christmases he rallied the family to go caroling in the neighborhood. Most importantly, he had a very strong bond with his brothers that will continue to live on.
Drew's legacy resides in relationships. His kindness and light left an incredible impression. It was clear how respected he was among students and staff at his school. He could often be heard saying, "Today is a great day to have a great day," and "Make a difference." Because his struggles with mental health were not well-known, his family would like to say please reach out to those you love and let them know they are enough. Suicide is a tragic end to a life with so much potential.
Drew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Karen Morgan, and Ernie and Jean Edwards. He is survived by his parents, Eric and Pam Morgan, of Columbia Falls: brothers, Ty and Cade; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A scholarship fund is currently being established in Drew's honor and memory by Eric and Pam, of which the deposit location is still being worked out. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, 11:30 AM, at Risen Christ Catholic Church, 65 W. Evergreen Drive, Kalispell, MT. A livestream of the service will be available at Columbia Falls Junior High School, 1805 Talbot Road, Columbia Falls, MT. Following the service, please join the family for a reception at Columbia Falls Junior High School. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at
