I remember Duane as a friend in grade school and high school. He would come over to our house when the Badgers played basketball and we would go into the basement where I had a radio and pool table and listen to the games.
Duane had a good sense of humor and also was a good athlete.
He will be missed. RIP Duane.

He was a good guy. I played sports with him, he was always one of the best in whatever he played. What a great HS football player and could he pitch in baseball, very strong arm. He had a perfect build for football. Also, he was a great golfer, could hit the ball a long way, much to the admiration of his peers. I'll always remember him from those years. God rest to him. My deepest sympathy to Duane's family. I graduated from high school with Duane, and always enjoyed him as a friend. Also looked forward to seeing him at our annual class reunion, class of 1954, Bloomer High School. He will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, my friend!
