Duane Froehlich Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clary Memorial Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC on Oct. 1, 2025.
Duane C. Froehlich, 83, passed away Monday, September 29, 2025, at Richland Hospital with his girl Leah at his side. Duane was born in Reedsburg, WI, on January 8, 1942, the oldest child of Gerhart and Lucille (McCauley) Froehlich. He spent his early years on the family farm, having many experiences and memories that stayed with him throughout his life. Due to his cognitive disabilities, he spent many years residing first at Bethesda Lutheran Home and then Southern Wisconsin Center. It was at Southern where he met Colleen, becoming one of the first residents of Valley View Home when they opened in 1993. Ed often told people that Duane was his brother. He has left his providers with many precious memories from these past 32 years. Duane was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Dale and Gary, his good friend Bob Salzer, and many favorite aunts and uncles. He is survived by his sister Meredith, his brother Bill, and his nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his care providers Ed, Colleen, and Leah Uhlenhake, his many special care workers, both past and present, of Valley View Home, and his housemates. Rest in peace Little Man/ Mamby Pie/ Peanut. We will miss you and your silliness! Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 11 AM at Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center, WI. Rev. Tim Anderson will officiate with burial in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery near Hillpoint, WI. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of service. www.clarymemorialfuneralhome.com
