Bernie Ewing Jr., age 97, of Lone Rock, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, surrounded by family. Bernie was born in Gillingham, to Bernie and Cleo (Poole) Ewing on February 9, 1928.
Bernie loved his family, being a firefighter and EMT for the Lone Rock Volunteer Fire Department, a good game of euchre or horseshoes, tinkering in his or Fred Schram's garage, fixing up one of his many pickup trucks or the big brown van with the shag carpeting, 8-track player, and mini TV that carried Martha and him on vacation trips around the country, many of which included their beloved Montana, big band music, after retirement fishing with his grandson or friends, and talking and laughing with people. Bernie was a really good and decent human and he loved all of us very much and we all loved him very much.
His many much-loved survivors are daughter, Donna Lou Mulholland; daughter-in-law, Karen Gray; grandchildren, Stephanie (Frank) Raemisch, Melissa Orme, Ryan (Tracey) Ewing; great-grandchildren, Michael (Kara) Raemisch, Sara Raemisch, Nicholas (Rebekkah) Raemisch, Charles (Karla) Raemisch, Matthew Raemisch, Aimee Thomson, Kaitlynn Neuman, and Kelsey Neuman; great-great-grandchildren, Lyla, Theodore, Cody, Tynan, Ryder, Olivia and Eiley Raemisch and Hailey Luchsinger; brother-in-law, Vern Clark; sister-in-law Valerie Ewing; former daughter in law Linda (Michael) Bruska. Many nieces, nephews, friends, extended family, and caretakers.
