Rachelle Bailey-Eugster Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service - Richland Center on Jan. 30, 2026.
Rachelle Bailey-Eugster, 49, of Oregon, died on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from cancer with family and friends by her side at Agrace Hospice Care, in Madison. She is the daughter of Gene and Alice (Ladd) Bailey. Rachelle grew up on Lake Kegonsa in Stoughton. She graduated from Stoughton High School and the University of River Falls in Equine and Business.

Rachelle loved spending time outdoors, swimming, paddle boarding, nature walks, biking, horseback riding, skiing, growing food and flowers. Rachelle enjoyment of piano, art, music, and animals of all kinds stayed with her as an adult, along with helping people and animals. She worked at Country View Veterinary Clinic as a veterinary technician and loved her co-workers. Rachelle also worked as a clothing model for the Duluth Trading Company. She enjoyed doing this and the people she worked for. Rachelle enjoyed being with her dad on his Honor Flight as a Vietnam Veteran to Washington D.C. She loved growing up spending time with her mom, dad, brothers Steve and Lance, fishing, during the summers and winters on the ice, and also vacationing together as a family.

Rachelle often talked about the joys of spending time with her friends which continued on through her adult years. She taught horse training and many times her students won awards at the fair. Rachelle especially enjoyed the trip to Kodiak Island, Alaska with her dad to visit her brother Lance at his job at the fishing company. She enjoyed her trips out west, Jamaica, and Canada.

Rachelle loved her children Lilly and Bailey more than anything. They were her world. She loved taking them to parks, boating and fishing with them and Dann. After her family and friends, Rachelle loved critters of all kinds and especially horses. If you were lucky enough to meet Rachelle you would immediately love her. Her radiant smile and beautiful eyes made everyone feel loved. Anyone touched by Rachelle is a better person because of it.

Rachelle is survived by her parents, Gene and Alice Bailey; brother Lance; daughter Lillian Eugster; son Bailey Barber, partner Dann Barber, previous husband Tom Eugster, his daughter Michaela (Phil) Batterson, many cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends.

Rachelle was preceded in death by her grandparents, brother Steve, stepdaughter Esprit Eugster, cousin Lisa Thideman, uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Rachelle loved all of these people dearly. She said, 'Live, laugh, love, dance, breath, but above all Love, the greatest gift above all. Serve and have dreams, goals, and purpose.'

A private family funeral will be held at the Pratt Memorial Chapel in Richland Center with burial to follow in the Button Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saint Jude Children's Hospital or Agrace, Madison. A celebration of life with be held at a later date. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.

It is snowing here today - an unusual event for South Carolina - and it would be a "fun" day if it wasn't for losing you. We are reminded of all the good times we had during our visits with you and how much you loved life. You were such a beautiful young lady - good inside and out. Future visits to Wisconsin will never be the same with you not being there. We love you!
