Thomas “Tom” Seamonson passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025 at the age of 80.
Tom was born in Stoughton on January 17, 1945 to Norman and Marian (Flugum) Seamonson. He graduated from Stoughton High School in 1963. He then enlisted in the US Navy in 1964, where he served in San Diego on the U.S.S. Gregory and earned the rank of Fire Control Technician 2nd Class E5.
He married Judy Dremsa on October 12, 1968 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Boscobel, Wisconsin. They made their home in Stoughton in 1969, and have lived there ever since. Tom made his living as a trucker, starting out as an owner/operator and then working for Conway until retirement in 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, his son, Gregory, his daughter, Christina (Rob Brandt) Seamonson Smith, his grandson, Tosten, his sisters Mary (Al) Mell and June Seamonson, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Keith Seamonson.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the VA Community Living Center, Agrace Hospice and Oak Park Place.
The visitation will take place on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 11:00 to 1:00 at Cress Funeral Home, 206 W Prospect St, Stoughton. Burial to follow.
