Duane Wynne Harrell, a pillar of calm and cool, quietly left this world on January 26, 2025, at the age of 63 in the city of his birth, Fort Worth, Texas. His presence, like a gentle breeze on a warm day, brought comfort to those fortunate enough to know him. Born on July 26, 1961, Duane lived a life characterized by a laid-back demeanor that belied the depths of his reflective soul.
With a personality marked by moments of levity and seriousness, he navigated his days in a way that inspired those around him. He possessed a unique ability to blend tranquility with an unshakeable coolness, creating an atmosphere where friends and family could feel at ease. It is this essence, this graceful balance between serenity and strength, that will be sorely missed.
Duane is survived by those who carry forward his spirit—his loving spouse, Natasha Green; his devoted sons, Duane Harrell and Dominque Harrell; and his cherished sisters, Melisha Harrell and Malinda Nero, and his brother Cedric Harrell. Each of them, in their own special way, holds memories filled with laughter, wisdom, and the quiet understanding that defined their bonds with him.
He will be honored with a Wake Service to be held on February 7, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home in Fort Worth, followed by a Funeral Service on February 8, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM at GOLDEN GATE COGIC in Fort Worth. As friends and family gather, they will reflect upon a life well-lived, recalling the calmness he brought into their lives, and the moments that defined his cool.
Though Duane has left this earth, his legacy, woven into the hearts of those he loved, will continue to resonate. In their stories, his calm spirit will remain alive, reminding us all of the beauty found in a laid-back smile, the strength in silent support, and the invaluable connections forged through love.
