Duane Carl Izzard, age 64, died March 31, 2025, at his home in Pickford, Michigan. He was born on May 10, 1960, to Verne and Marjean (Lockhart) Izzard.
Duane grew up in Pickford, where he developed a deep love for music and movies. He was an avid collector of DVDs, always expanding his collection with cherished favorites. Duane also had a passion for stock car racing, bike riding, and shared a special bond with his dad through their time spent scooter racing together. A lifelong fan of the Pink Panther, his interests reflected a vibrant and fun-loving personality that touched everyone who knew him.
Duane is survived by his mother Marjean; sisters, Susie Jean Izzard and Patti Jo (Rob) Williams; uncles, Charles (Margaret) Izzard; nephews, Darin (Emily) Izzardbawks, Bradley Bawks, Curtis (Jade) Bawks, Tim (Jessi) Williams, Bryan (Bethany) Williams; nieces, Michele (Jody) Pitre; Amber (James) Johnson, Stacey (Dillon Hillock) Colosky; great nieces, Krystale Williams, Ceanna Williams, Teagan Williams, Brooklynn Williams, Madelyn Izzardbawks; great-nephews, Curtis Jr. and Carson Bawks.
Duane was preceded in death by his father, Verne; grandparents, Nelson and Fanny Izzard, Carl and Beatrice Lockhart; sisters, Nancy Ann, Candy Lou; brother, William Izzard; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Per Duane's wishes, no services will be held.
His final resting place will be Cottle Cemetery in the Spring of 2025.
