Duane Moore Obituary
Duane L. Moore, 78 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on March 11, 2024, at Continuing Healthcare at Willow Haven Nursing Home in Zanesville.
He was born on June 17, 1945, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Harry Alvin Moore and Eva Mae Ayers. Duane graduated from John Glenn High School in 1963. He worked at Malta Manufacturing and Brockway Glass, where he retired after 34 years. Duane was a member of the Moose Lodge in Zanesville. He was known for his collection of pens. He would get one everywhere and chance he could. You could also nd his collections of hot wheels, key rings, knives, eversharps, belt buckles, and watch fobs. Above all, he loved spending his spare time with his family and loved ones.
He is survived by his children, Larry (Kelly) Moore, Brenda Hope, Troy Moore; 5 grandchildren: JR (Marka) Moore, Justin (Amanda) Moore, Josh (Kayla) Hope, Jennifer (Tyler) Perdue, Jeremy (Bailey) Moore; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Founds, Sharon Krause; and special dog, Max.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Kay Frances Moore; brothers, Kenneth Moore, Russell Moore, Robert Moore; and sister, Elsie Cronin.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday March 13, 2024, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be held on Thursday March 14, 2024, at 10:00 AM with Chaplain Jason Boggs officiating. Burial will follow services at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
