Duane Weigel Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc. - Dallastown on Feb. 29, 2024.
June 29, 1933 - February 25, 2024 - Today, we remember a devoted family man, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Though he may have preferred the solace of his own company, he was a pillar of strength and love to his family. He was a man of few words but his actions spoke volumes. He leaves behind a legacy of unwaving loyalty and dedication to those he held dear.
Duane was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley and daughter Ann Dixon. Duane is survived by his daughters, Cathy Vicchiotti, Susan E. Weigel and son D. Eric Weigel (Lorie). In addition to his children, he is also survived by four beautiful granddaughters: Cara Varholy (Michael), Shontae Jarratt (Jonathan), Alycia Wert (Justin) and Kiersten Sterner (Kevin). He also leaves behind four loving great-granddaughters: Sydney, Audrey, Rowan, and Logan.
Duane served proudly in the Marine Corps during the Korean War followed by the reserves for 5 years. He worked as a draftsman for Flinchbaugh Products in Red Lion until his retirement.
In his free time, Duane loved frequent rides on his Harley, spending time in his yard, and had an utmost love for chocolate.
The family would like to thank Hospice and Community Care for their dedication to Duane's comfort and care in his final days. His memory will live on in the memories and hearts of his family.

I taught with Shirley and we were both part of the Isaacs´ lunch bunch. My condolences to all of you as you now deal with the loss of your dad. Your parents have reunited on the other side of the curtain.
