Duncan Nagode Obituary

Duncan Robert Nagode (known as Bob), age 75, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Pikes Peaks Hospice at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO. Bob was born in Santa Rosa, California. He was preceded by his parents, Everett Robert Nagode and Isabel Duncan Nagode. Theirs was a true WWII love affair between a US Army serviceman on leave in the UK and a young Scottish nurse. From them, Bob learned to cherish romance and romantic gestures. Above all else, Bob loved to entertain and make people laugh. He was an astute judge of character. As a young man, he left home and joined a carnival (yes, people really did that). Then, using his natural musical talent, he became a top salesman for pianos and organs. He performed as a magician (Magic & Mayhem), owned an airplane washing and waxing business (The Bird Bath), knife sharpening businesses (2dull4you and Colorado Knife Sharpening), and a bicycle store (bikes2ride). Bob loved to fish, wrote an outdoors column for the Oakland Tribune, and published the Fishing Times Weekly for northern California. As a certified wine cellar master, Bob enjoyed showing people how to appreciate the fruit of the vine. Bob is survived by his wife, Eve Becklund Nagode; brother, Everett Arnold Nagode ; daughter, Kimberly Ann Hunt; and three grandchildren: Lora (Everett) Bennett, Anthony Ryan Klier, and Adaukus D'Artagnan Klier. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Fremont County, Colorado.
