Durell Reeves Williams went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2025.
Visitation will be Monday, January 27, from 6:00- 8:00 pm at Lynch Funeral Services, 4238 TX-34 S, Greenville, TX 75402.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, January 28, at 1:00 pm at Simmons Cemetery, 5546 CR 2250, Greenville, TX
Durell was born on December 23, 1939 in Quinlan, Texas to Jean Marvin Williams and Alice Burleson Williams. Durell and his twin sister, Patsy Williams White, were the youngest of seven children.
He married the love of his life, Linda Barker Williams, on August 19, 1960 in Greenville, Texas. They had two sons, Brian D Williams and Brad Lee Williams.
Durell worked in sales for West Texas Culvert. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons he was so proud of. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Linda Barker Williams; his son and daughter in law, Brad and Sherrina Williams; his grandson and wife, Weston and Aubrey Williams; his great grandsons, Riggston Williams, Koeston Williams, and Daxton Hatfield, as well as many loving extended family members. Durell also leaves to cherish his memories, his best friend and domino playing buddy, Bobby Gray.
Durell is preceded in death by his son, Brian Williams; his grandson, Nathan Williams; and his great grandson, Huckston Williams. Also preceding him in death are his parents, his twin sister, Patsy Williams White and his additional siblings and their spouses: James Williams (Louise), Don Williams (Ann), Virginia Williams Combs (Audis), Dorothy Williams Crawford (Marlin), and June Williams Whitley (Kenneth)
Durell will be remembered for his love of family, his great sense of humor and his willingness to always lend a helping hand. His family and friends rejoice in knowing he is now in his Heavenly home.
