Dustin James Merges, 37, of Monticello MN. Passed away August 11, 2025. "Dusty" son of Michael and Dona Merges. Also survived by his brothers, Dartanian, Dakota, and David. Wife, Jodi and 3 beautiful children, Paizley, Harper, and Owen.
Since a young age, Dusty had a love for construction. A trade known to the family. He was a natural builder, always eager to "play in the dirt". After graduating from St. Michael-Albertville High School, Dusty joined the Local 49 union. He went wherever the work took him. traveling to many states, with many different companies, helping build the future.
Dusty was known for always lending a helping hand. Even if you asked for his expert skills. He'd have no problem, taking over and getting the job done! He will definitely be remembered for his level of knowledge of operating heavy equipment.
