DuWayne Buelow Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cline & Hanson Funeral & Cremations - New London on Sep. 27, 2025.
DuWayne Kermit Buelow, 87, of New London, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, at St. Joseph Residence.

Born and raised in New London, DuWayne was the son of the late Dolores and Kermit Buelow. He lived a life marked by kindness, unwavering devotion to those he loved, and an impeccable work ethic.

For 64 years, he was the loving husband of his wife, Kathleen. DuWayne was a truly cherished father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Jennifer, and her husband Ferdinand, and their children Alexandra, Gabriel, Henry, and Christian; and his son, Timothy, and his wife Stephanie, along with their sons Benjamin and Samuel.

DuWayne loved his family dearly, and his free time was often spent enjoying their company. Before his illness, he could be found on the golf course, working in his garden, fishing with his son and grandsons, and playing cards. He was an avid and faithful fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. Despite spending the last five years battling illness, he never lost his sense of humor and hope. His unwavering faith as a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church was a constant source of strength.

He is also survived by siblings; his devoted brother Darwin, known as "Doc," who faithfully called and checked in with him every day, his sister Darla; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Stilen. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dennis Buelow.

The family extends its deepest gratitude to the exceptional staff and caretakers at St. Joseph Residence, who made it his second home with their compassionate care. We are also grateful for his card playing friends at St. Joe's and for the regular visits and steadfast spiritual support from Pastor Heiges.

The family will honor DuWayne's life and memory at a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Details regarding the time and location will be shared with friends and family once arrangements are finalized.
