Dwayne C. Moore

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Ecclesiastes 3:1 Dwayne Clayton Moore of Emporia, VA, transitioned to eternal life on July 10, 2025. He was a beloved husband, parent, grandparent, son, brother, uncle and friend. Dwayne was born on March 9, 1968 in
Emporia, Virginia to the late Dale B. Moore and Jeraldine B. Moore. Dwayne was a proud graduate of Greensville County High School class of 1986. Family meant everything to Dwayne and he treasured every moment spent surrounded by loved ones. Dwayne was known for his passion for cooking, and found joy in preparing meals to share with family and friends. He loved fishing - often spending peaceful days on the water, finding solace, and happiness in nature. Dwayne also was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan supporting them every game. Dwayne was preceded in death by his father, Dale B. Moore, Grandfathers, Daniel Barnes and James Moore, Grandmothers, Elaine Moore and Lillian Barnes, and best friend/brother Patrick Moore. Dwayne is survived by his loving wife Iris, seven children: Candace, Dwayne (Kelly); Sasha, Benjamin, Walter, Tashara, and Tia; nine grandchildren, each of whom brought immense love, pride and joy into his life; his cherished mother, Jeraldine B Moore, five siblings: Delaney (Paulette): Daniel (Veronica); Dennis (Angela): Darryl: and Joan (Lee); father-in-law, Ollie, mother-in-law, Carrie, and sister-in-law, Nina. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, devoted cousins, and friends. Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of: R.E. Pearson & Son Funeral Services, Inc
