Dwayne Kevin Tippins

Dwayne Kevin Tippins, 59, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Alamance Regional Medical Center following a motorcycle accident. He was born on May 26, 1964 in Fort Campbell, KY to the late Sergeant Major James Underwood Tippins and Gilda Marie Edwards Tippins and was the husband to Michelle “Candy” Hinely Tippins who survives.

 Kevin was the superintendent for EAS – Environmental Air Systems for over 12 years and had formerly worked for Terminix Pest Control. He enjoyed dancing, riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, fishing, boating, all kinds of water sports, cooking and was known by his family as the Grill Master. Kevin enjoyed life to the fullness but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was a loving and thoughtful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend that will be dearly missed.  

   Survivors other than his wife, Candy Hinely Tippins include his children, Jessica Tippins, Kyle Tippins and wife Ashton, Wesley Tippins, Nikki Walston and husband Rico, Bo Blankenship and wife Brooke, Margie Smith and husband Mitchell; fiftteen grandchildren; his sisters, Andrea “Andi” Ward and husband David, Jamie O’Daniel and husband, Darryl, Erin Tippins Bowman and husband Dean, Rena Oakes; a sister-in-law, Renay Reel; brothers-in-law, Cary Hinely and Lewis "Buddy" Hinely; numerous nieces and nephews; and his canine companion, JoJo. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Lois Lowery Hinely; and a great niece, Leia Taylor Ward.

 The funeral service to celebrate Kevin’s life will be held at 2:00pm Friday, May 3, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Thursday evening at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
