Dwight Beighley Bishop passed away February 19, 2026, Born in Oyster Bay, New York, on November 24, 1932. Dwight graduated from Brown University, in 1955. After graduation, he was a PVT. Stationed at Fort Chaffee in Arkansas and served as a Lieutenant in the Artery Battalion in Germany. After leaving the Army, he moved to California where he earned an MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business. He continued his education earning his Juris Doctorate from University of San Francisco School of Law, passing the State Bar exam in 1966.

He married Millicent McSherry in Milton MA on September 10, 1957, marrying Patricia Bishop June 22, 1986. He is survived by his wife Patricia Bishop. He is lovingly remembered by his children Dwight Derek Bishop (wife Sandy), Bruce Bishop (wife Patti) and Jim Parke (wife Debi) and their children Gabriel, Nicholas, Benjamin, and Jordan Pessah, Ashley Lutz and McKenzie Marcotte.

Dwight practice personal injury law for over 50 years and was a founding partner in the firm Capps & Bishop and well as Bishop and Frick. He taught trial advocacy at John F. Kennedy law school and served as an arbitrator for the Contra Costa Superior Court. He was known as one of the best trial attorneys in contra Costa County.

Dwight loved his life including but not limited to skiing and tennis ands was a member of the Devil Mountain Chorus. He was also know as a shuffle board expert.

He was a Patriot and loved his country. God Bless Dwight and God Bless America.
