Dwight Creek, age 87, of Sugartree Ridge, passed away on Thursday morning, Feb. 19, 2026, at his home. He was born on Sept. 20, 1938, in Highland County, Ohio, the son of the late Stanley Edward and Ruth Inez (Hamilton) Creek. On Jan. 24, 1958, he married Shirley (Cluff) Creek.
Dwight was a graduate of Whiteoak High School Class of 1956. He was a member of Sugartree Ridge Church of Christ, where he served on the board for many years, the Bright Local School Board for 16 years, the Sugartree Ridge Cemetery Board, the Highland District Hospital Board, and was a Concord Township Trustee for many years. He was a farmer for all his life and had retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation after 10 years of service.
Surviving are his loving wife, Shirley Creek; son, Gregg Creek; three grandchildren: Kyle Skinner, Taylor (Cody) Cox, and Leah Creek; four great-grandchild: Aiyanna Skinner, Nova Skinner, Peyton Cox, and Freya Orthman; four step-great-grandchildren: Zoi Cox, Anna Cox, Beau Cox, and Weston Cox; three siblings: Judy Helton, Evelyn (Bruce) Knox, and Tom (Cindy) Creek; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Dwight was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Sue Carson and brother-in-law, Ron Helton.
Funeral Services will be held at the Sugartree Ridge Church of Christ, 2240 St. Rt. 136, on Monday, Feb. 23, 2026, at 1 p.m. with Pastors Danny Dodds and Drue Lane officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugartree Ridge Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the church on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of the services.
