Dwight W. Hill, 75 of Zanesville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 7, 2023 at his home and surrounded by his loving family.
Dwight was born on April 28, 1948 in Zanesville, son of Frank I and Mary L. (Harlan) Hill. Dwight retired in 2010 after 37 years as an electrician at Brockway Glass where he was president of the local union for many years. He a lifetime member of the NRA and a lifetime member of the HOG 'Harley Owners Group'. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Maranatha Bible Church and he served his country in the US Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post #29 in Zanesville.
Dwight is survived by the love of his life, Mary (Wade) Hill of 53 years; his three children, Amy (Jeff Jr.) Fraunfelter, Jason (Misty) Hill, and Rebecca (Mike) Willis; his grandchildren, Hunter, Gabriella, Trapper, Mallory, Erica (Lucas), Levi, Taylor (Savannah), Tanner, and Summer; his first great-grandchild is due in August.
Dwight is preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother, Frank Duane Hill.
Visitations will be 11 to 1 pm on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. Funeral Services will be at 1 pm with Pastor Chris Brown officiating. Dwight will be laid to rest in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Full Military Honors provided by the George Selsam VFW Post # 1058 and the US Air Force Color Guard.
