She was employed at Malta Windows until the factory closed and later worked in the cafeteria for Morgan County Schools.
Joy had a special love for animals and enjoyed baking, listening to music from the 1950s and 1960s, gardening, and watching cooking shows. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.
Joy is survived by her two beloved sons, Geoffrey (Kristy) Harman of Zanesville and Gregg Harman of Malta; her three grandchildren, Jamie Harman and her mother Cindy, Jacob and Jeremy Harman; her two great-grandchildren; her two special great-aunts, Cheryl Wesney and Beverly Brown; as well as several cousins and many friends including furry ones.
In addition to her parents, Joy is preceded in death by the love of her life for forty-two years, her husband, George H. Harman, whom she married on July 15, 1968, and who passed away on January 2, 2010.
In keeping with Joy’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place. The Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls is honored to care for the Harman family.
