Dwight David Jordan

Dwight David Jordan, 79, of Wingate, NC passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023. He was born in Mecklenburg Co., NC on December 31, 1943, and was the son of the late Harry Cochran Jordan and Dorinda Alexandra Walters Jordan. He was also preceded by his son, Stephen Craig Jordan, and daughter-in-law, Whitney Jordan, and brothers; Benny Jordan, Donnie Jordan, and Roger Jordan.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 15, 2023, at Bright Spot Baptist Church, 1407 Lockhart St., Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends and family prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45. Burial to follow at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
David is survived by his wife, Hilda Kay Aycoth Jordan; three sons; Jeffrey Jordan (Becky), Danny Jordan (Tracey), and Bill Jordan, and sister, Linda Jordan; thirteen grandchildren, Grant Jordan (Sidney), Olivia Jordan, Eva Jordan, Andrew Jordan (Jessica), Ashley McBride (Nolan), Alyson Jordan, Abbey Simpson (Luke), Rachel Jordan, Claire Baker (Matthew), Jennifer Griffin (Randell), Skip James (Morgan), Palmer Turner and Anniston Turner; 8 great-grandchildren and Paul and Allison Turner, adoptive parents to his grandchildren.
