Dylan Clay Atkins, 16, of Clifton, Texas passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024 in Clifton, Texas.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 10 A.M. at the Clifton ISD Preforming Arts Center.
Dylan was born on June 5, 2007, in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He came to live with his grandparents, David Ramsey and Gayle Taylor at the age of 10. He adored them as well as they thought he hung the moon. Dylan was both proud and protective of his younger brother, Mason. The two had a typical relationship, but there was nothing that Dylan wouldn’t do for his little brother. Dylan loved his aunts, uncles, and cousins and especially loved family gatherings. He was a bright and talented student who loved to learn. His kind and caring personality was always willing to help others. He loved working at West Shore Grill and considered those he worked with as his family.
Dylan had many hobbies to include, football, hiking, swimming, track, fishing, hanging out with his friends, but most of all his love was spending time with his family. Dylan was very proud to receive his letterman jacket for football recently. He was an honor student who had already received letters from colleges that were pursuing him. His excitement to share with others while looking forward to attending college and becoming successful radiated through his smile. Dylan will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Dylan is survived by his grandparents David Ramsey, Gayle Taylor, and Brenda Ramsey; siblings, Adrian Ramsey and Mason Davis; number of other relatives and many friends; and his mother Glenda Ramsey.
Pallbearers will be David Ramsey Jr, Mike Krumtum, Caleb Ramsey, Jim Roden, Justin Gardner, T.J. Malott, Tristan Hammond, Jayestin Smith, Brayden Rockett.
Honorary pallbearers will be his Clifton High School Graduating Class of 2025 and close friends.
