The epitome of joy and kindness, Dylan Lee Benefield’s legacy will live long in the hearts of everyone who knew him. Dylan went to be with the Lord on October 10th, 2024 at the age of 22 after a fearless battle with cancer surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor Dylan by living life to the fullest just as Dylan did.
Dylan carried the pureness of joy with him everywhere he went. He loved serving people, basketball, and worship music. Even in his last weeks on earth, he insisted that he volunteer with his day program at a local non-profit organization. Dylan especially loved his big brother, Cole and his little sister, Grace Leigh.
Dylan’s smile and laughter will be held in our memories. His outstanding work ethic and positive attitude in the face of adversity is nothing short of a rare find. Dylan’s life pulsated with the message of being defined by God alone and not the disabilities and challenges that accompanied him. He will remain one of the best examples of how to live life and live it well.
A funeral service is scheduled in honor of Dylan on October 19, 2024 at 11:00 am at Cityview Community Church at 3800 Ram Blvd. Mineral Wells, Texas 76067. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Meals on Wheels, the last non-profit organization Dylan volunteered at.
