Dylan Collier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Silverton Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Service - Toms River on Dec. 12, 2025.
Dylan C. Collier, of Toms River, went to heaven suddenly on December 7, 2025, at the age of 40. Born on September 26, 1985, Dylan's life journey began and ended in the town he so dearly loved. He was a beacon of strength and joy to those who knew him, and his passing, due to cardiac arrest, has left an indelible void in the hearts of everyone.
Raised in Toms River, Dylan was the cherished son of Peter C. Buscher and Louis A. Cannizzo, and brother of Steven J. Collier, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. Dylan's family was the cornerstone of his life, and he held each family gathering close to his heart, often recounting stories with a warmth that could fill any room with laughter.
Dylan's professional life was marked by his entrepreneurial spirit and leadership qualities. As the President of Fence - Capades by Dylan, he poured his passion and creativity into every project, earning respect and admiration from his colleagues and clients alike. He received a 2025 Nextdoor Neighborhood Faves award thanks to his clients. His work not only beautified the landscapes of many homes but also built a community of people united by their appreciation for Dylan's dedication and craftsmanship. He worked hard, building his business with an appreciative clientele and their referrals.
Dylan lived his life spreading love and kindness wherever he went. His belief in compassion and generosity was evident in all his interactions, and he was always the first to show up to help his friends and neighbors.
Dylan's zest for life extended beyond his professional endeavors. He was an avid bodybuilder, his discipline and commitment to health and fitness serving as an inspiration to others. His presence at the gym was a constant, where he not only honed his physique but also forged lasting friendships. Dylan also found solace in fishing, where the tranquility of nature provided a perfect counterbalance to his dynamic lifestyle. His love for the outdoors was infectious, and he was known to share his passion with anyone willing to cast a line and enjoy the peacefulness of the water.
Dylan's legacy is one of love, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to his beliefs and passions. He lived a life that exemplified the values he held dear, leaving an imprint on the world that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we bid farewell to Dylan C. Collier, we take comfort in the knowledge that his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, just as the memories of his kindness, generosity, and love will remain eternal in our hearts.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 19, at 10:30am at St Luke's RC Church, 1674 Old Freehold Rd, Toms River, NJ 08755. The family requests casual attire from guests for the Memorial Mass.

Dylan was my cousin, but he was more like my brother when we were children. We grew up together after his mom passed away and he and Steven came to live with us. Dylan was always so smart and talented. He was the star in every show at our theater camp and had major parts in our school plays. I will miss him more than I can say and I wish we had been able to spend more time together as adults. He was one of a kind.
