Spc.  Dylan Thomas Reid, age 24, of Lamar, died Saturday October 16, 2010, in Amarah, Iraq, where he was stationed.  He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, CO.  Dylan was born September 3, 1986 in Ironwood, MI to Terry and Kelli Reid.  He graduated in 2005 from Desert Technology High School, Lake Havasu City, AZ.  Dylan has proudly served his country since joining the United State Army in 2008.  Dylan is survived by his daughter, Avery Lynn Reid, born Sept 14, 2010 in Minnesota, his parents, Terry and Kelli Reid of Lamar; siblings, Shawna Mohart, of Oak Harbor, WA, Monica and her husband Mike Chafe of Berkley, MI, Thomas and his wife Alicia Mohart of Appleton, WI, and Erika Reid and her husband Derrick Thye of Lamar, MO; his maternal grandmother, Marcey Bott of Oak Harbor, WA; nephews, Christian Mohart, Aiden, Derrick, and Caleb Reid; nieces, Nova, Chafe, C.J.  and Paityn Mohart, and Alora Reid; aunts, Rebecca Blaha, Debbie Thornberg, Kim Hinshaw, Tracy Bott-Ospring, Nanette Rench; uncles, Richard Reid, Belbert Reid, Ken Reid, and Jeff Reid.  Dylan was preceded by maternal grandfather, Thomas Bott; paternal grandparents, Richard and Ramona Reid; uncle David Reid; best friend Lance Corporal Barry Lee Wilsey “Bear”  who died at age 20.  Funeral Services for Dylan will be 1:00 pm Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Daniel Funeral Home where Full Military Honors will be conducted.  Contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in care of Daniel Funeral Home 1201 Broadway, Lamar, MO.
