Dylan James Rollins, 29, of Charlottesville, Virginia passed away in January 2026. Dylan is survived by his brother Cody Rollins: his Cousin, whom he loved as a sister, Dannah Boston (Francois Boston): his mother Susan Vickers and stepfather Matthew Vickers: his father James Rollins and stepmother Cindy Rollins: his paternal grandmother Teresa Elliott: his maternal grandmother Doris Rourke: and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews on both sides of his family.

Dylan was a son, a brother, a protector, a loyal friend, and a soul whose heart was far bigger than this world could contain. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed by his family, his countless friends who became family, and by his beloved dog, Jack.

Professionally, Dylan was a welder-proud of his craft, hardworking, and dedicated. Outside of work, he lived life fully and passionately. He loved live music, cheering on the New York Giants, and spending time in the kitchen making his favorite meals-hibachi. or his classic favorite, breakfast for dinner. These simple joys were often shared with those he loved most.

Dylan had an extraordinary heart. He was empathetic, compassionate, and deeply affected by the injustices he saw around him. He carried a fierce sense of protection for others, especially for those who couldn't protect themselves. No one felt that more than his younger brother, Cody, whom Dylan loved and guarded with unwavering devotion. Family meant everything to Dylan. He loved his mother and father very much. He cherished his entire family with his whole heart and found his greatest happiness in time spent together. His happiest moments were often at the beach, with Jack by his side, surrounded by family and the countless friends who were truly family. That was his peace. That was his home.

Jack, his loyal pup, was Dylan's constant companion and a reflection of his gentle spirit. Their bond was pure and unconditional. rooted in love, loyalty, and comfort.

Dylan had a way of making people feel seen, protected, and cared for. He gave freely of himself, always willing to help anyone in need. His kindness was not loud, but it was powerful-and it left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him. He signed off every message the same way: "Love you, miss you, mean it." Those words now echo as his legacy-a reminder of how deeply he loved and how sincerely he lived.

Though his time with us was far too short, Dylan's love, compassion, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be remembered always-for his big heart, his loyalty, his courage, and the love he gave so freely. Most importantly he will be remembered by Jehovah God of whom it is said:" you will long for the creature your hands have made... You will call and I will answer you (Job 14:15) NIV
