E.B. Cypert Obituary

Published by Legacy on May 26, 2025.
E.B. "Sandy" Cypert, Jr.
Sandy was born June 28, 1949, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Gene Cypert and Mary Ann Yoes Cypert. And it is in much of this region that Sandy spent his life. In grade school and high school, he and his family lived in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. This was a wonderful period to be a boy in America.
Sandy loved Scouting, camping and hiking and baseball, always with friends to enjoy the game.
Near the end of high school, Sandy suffered a head injury in a car accident that altered, but did not end, his life or his friendships.
Sandy grew to be a decent, loving man who was blessed with good friends. He was known by many for early walks on the streets of Fayetteville, frequently visiting others along the way. He worked in many restaurants and served on many dining and laundry staffs in and around our city. He also worked for 20 years at the University of Arkansas on the janitorial team. During this time his appearance changed many times, but his kindness did not. He was a true gentleman, kind to all, who made his family proud to share life with him.
He is survived by his sister, Robin King and brother-in-law Bill King, in Nashville, Tennessee, along with nieces and nephews there and in New York City. By all, Sandy will be missed.
His family wishes to thank Andy King for helping Sandy navigate and grow in learning how to love oneself until they pass.
