E. Marie Campbell, 86, of Kennedy passed away unexpectedly Saturday (January 3, 2026) in UPMC Chautauqua. A lifelong area resident she was born August 14, 1939 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Alfred S. and Helen E. Baker Vanstrom. Marie was a 1956 graduate of Falconer High School and in earlier years was employed by Dahlstrom's Manufacturing. Prior to retirement she was employed by Ellington Hardwood Lumber. Marie had served as bookkeeper for the Town of Poland for 14 years. She was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution and Home Bureau. Marie enjoyed spending time with her family, camping in Allegany State Park, gardening, planting flowers, and crossword puzzles. Surviving is her husband of 60 years Robert J. Campbell whom she married December 4, 1965 in Jamestown; her son James (Lisa) Campbell of Kennedy; her daughter Joanne Campbell of Lakewood; two grandchildren: James (Casey) Campbell of Ellington, Andrew McAdoo of Kennedy; four brothers: David (Karen) Vanstrom of Bemus Point, James (Jeanne) Vanstrom of Falconer, Stephen (Pam) Vanstrom of Jamestown, Thomas (Carol) Vanstrom of Kennedy; two sisters: Ruth Rowley of Kennedy, Janis (Phil) Stolarski of Elma, NY; sister-in-law Janet (James) Wahlberg of Bemus Point and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Rodney A. "Buzz" Vanstrom on January 20, 2003; a brother-in-law Harold C. "Butch" Rowley on June 22, 2016. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Gerald Haglund pastor of Clarks Corners Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in Myrtle Cemetery, Clarks Corners. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be donated to National Kidney Foundation (www.kidney.org) or the American Heart Association (www.heart.org).
