E. Viola Johns, 92, a resident of Graystone Manor Huntingdon, since 2024, and formerly of Barree Township, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Graystone Manor Huntingdon. Born October 7, 1933 in West Township, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Annie O. (Whitesel) Johnson. She was united in marriage to Merle W. Johns on November 20, 1953, at the Manor Hill Methodist Church, Petersburg. Mr. Johns preceded her in death on January 5, 2024, after 70 years of marriage.

She is survived by two daughters, Cathy Siats of Danville and Cheryl Robertson and her husband, Ken, of Huntingdon; five grandchildren, Kara Robertson of Pittsburgh, Kenneth Robertson of Haddonfield, NJ, Michele Davis and her husband, Keith, of Bloomsburg, Adam Siats and his wife, Sarah, of Ocean City, MD, and Christine Heath and her husband, Russell, of Danville; five great-grandchildren, Luke and Dylan Davis, Declan Siats, and Reagan and Walker Heath; as well as, several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Ayers and Marjorie Beard; and five brothers, Ernest Johnson, Leroy Johnson, Harry Johnson, Herbert Johnson, and John Robert Johnson.

Mrs. Johns was an active member of Faith United Methodist Church at Manor Hill, where she served as church treasurer for many years and was a former Sunday school teacher.

She was a 1951 graduate of Juniata Valley High School, Alexandria.

Mrs. Johns was employed as the Barree Township Tax Collector for many years and held various bookkeeping positions throughout her lifetime.

She enjoyed baking, gardening, and traveling. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

At the request of Mrs. Johns services will be held privately and at the convenience of her family. Interment will be in Manor Hill Cemetery, Petersburg.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in remembrance of E. Viola Johns may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, c/o James L. Ayers, 4691 Manor Hill Road, Petersburg, PA 16669.
