Known as Doreen to her friends and family, passed away peacefully of natural causes on February 19, 2024, in Manchester, Connecticut. Hatched on June 23, 1938, in Utica, New York. Doreen was the daughter of the late George H. Estabrooks and Maude M. Juvet, and she was preceded in death by her infant brother. She was matched with Daniel J. Michl on September 2nd, 1958 who predeceased her.
She is survived by children, David E. Michl and Dolores A. Michl.
Doreen's educational journey included two years of college. She worked at Swiss Laundry then she worked as an O.R. Orderly and Front Desk Clerk at Manchester Memorial Hospital where she retired from in 2007.
Doreen's interests were crewel embroidery and cross-stitch, jigsaw puzzles and reading. Doreen's annual trip to the Maine Coast was a source of joy and she looked forward to each year.
Doreen had an immense affection for children, cats, and donkeys, and she contributed to many charities throughout her life. Doreen was a supporter of various animal welfare organizations.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will live on.
An Hour of Remembrance will be on April 2nd from 11AM till Noon with burial to follow directly afterward at East Cemetery, located at 220 East Center Street, Manchester CT. A Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity Covenant Church of Manchester, CT located at 302 Hackmatack Street on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 11am.
