He began farming in childhood and continued tending his farm for over 50 years. He was the past president of Surry Farm Bureau and past elected chairman to the Peanut Soil and Water Conservation District.
Keith is predeceased by his parents and his nephew Randy Chamblee.
He is remembered by his loving wife of 52 years Martha Scarborough Seward, his daughters; Jodi Boland and Cari Seward, his grandchildren Danielle Boland and Colin Gwaltney, his niece; Tamara Hall, and family; Chris and Gary Appel.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday March 11, 2025 at 11:00am at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory Wakefield Chapel, (11414 General Mahone Hwy). In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Surry or Dendron Fire Departments.
