E. Kenneth “Kenny” Stanczyk, 79, of Beatrice, formerly of St. Paul, died Nov. 7, 2024, in Beatrice.

Liturgy of the Word Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2025, at Peters Funeral Home in St. Paul. The Rev. Vince Parsons will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul with graveside military honors by Carl Mogensen American Legion Post 119 of St. Paul and the United States Army Funeral Honors Team.

Kenny was born on Jan. 12, 1945, in Abilene, TX, the son of Ernest and Madelon (Beebe) Stanczyk. As a young boy he moved with his parents to several farms in Sherman County, NE and in 1958, the family moved to St. Paul. Kenny graduated from St. Paul High School in 1963 and went on to Milford trade school to learn auto body repair. 

He served in the United States Army from May 1963 to May 1969, as a staff sergeant of ordinance explosives. He bravely fought for his country in Vietnam, serving in Da Nang and Chu Lai for 18 months.

Kenny made his career working for the Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer for 36 years.

He is survived by his children and spouses, Marci and Rod Reffert of Lincoln, Randi and Doug Aksamit of Naples, FL and Sean and Barb Stanczyk of Lincoln; 4 grandchildren, Robin Rathbone of Greenville, TX, Brooke Rathbone of Lincoln, Zachary Stanczyk of Lincoln, and Abigail Stanczyk of Lincoln; 3 great grandchildren, Mason of Greenville, TX, and twins, Briley and Brielle of Lincoln; sister, Linda and John Condemi of Las Vegas; and brothers, Lonnie Stanczyk of Salem, OR, David and Judy Stanczyk and Bobby and Shauna Stanczyk, all of Lincoln.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
