Earl Oliver "Bud" Anderson was born November 4, 1935, and departed this life Wednesday, October 8, 2025, reaching the age of 89 years. He was the son of the late Floyd William and Zella Mae (Bell) Anderson.

He is survived by: his wife, Bess Oatts Anderson; one son, Roger Anderson; step children, Lenell Jackson, spouse Tim, and David Bell, wife Rhonda; step grandchildren, Shelby Bell, wife Rebekah, Camrin Bell, wife Taylor, Michaela Bell, Drew Bell, wife Mary Morgan, Whitney Bell; and great grandchildren, Lylia, Elynore, Lochlyn, Eliza Jane, Mary Louise, and Keldon Garcia; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Floyd and Zella Anderson, he was preceded in death by his sister, Imogene Kendrick.

Bud was a U.S. Navy veteran who served his county proudly. He was an avid UK basketball fan and enjoyed watching them play.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
