Earl Bailey Obituary
Earl Warren Bailey of Barboursville, Virginia, died Monday, August 31, 2009.
He was the son of Manis Eugene Bailey and Lulie Ellis Pettit.
After returning from World War II, he was a life long farmer.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Gertrude Beck Bailey; his daughters, Florence Ann and Gayle, his cherished granddaughters, Beth, Gwen and Rachel. He is also survived by his sister, Claire Lonergan; and his brother, George Bailey.
He will be remembered for his kindness and his love of all living things.
A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a..m Thursday, September 3, 2009, in Maplewood Cemetery, Gordonsville.
The family will receive friends following the service at graveside.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Barboursville Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 122, Barboursville, VA 22923.
Preddy Funeral Home, Gordonsville, is in charge of arrangements.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. Earl was always a great help with the sheep farmers in the area especially during taking up the wool. My husband, the late Carl Washington and Earl was great buddies
