Earl Bond Obituary

Earl James Bond, Jr., 60, of Cleveland, NC, passed away January 25, 2024 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Born July 26, 1963 in Jacksonville, NC, he was the son of Emma Howard Bond and the late Earl James Bond, Sr. He worked as a former residential paint contractor all over Salisbury and surrounding areas.

He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Mt. Ulla. He was a very gifted musician, playing drums, guitar, bass, and singing in many bands throughout his entire life.

Left to cherish his memory in addition to his mother, are his wife of 35 years, Gina Connelly Bond; son, Joshua Bond (Carley Tatum); daughters, Haley McNeely (Lane) and Mariah Bond (Jamie McCombs); brother, Paul Bond (Dliek); sister, Cynthia Smith; and grandchildren, Ella McNeely, Canaan McNeely, D'Laney McNeely, Langston McCombs and Ezra Bond.

The family will receive friends 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Tuesday (January 30) at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. The funeral service will be conducted at 12 p.m. with Rev. Mike Stone officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 3101 Industrial Drive, Suite 210, Raleigh, NC 27609.

We are so sorry for your great loss. Earl was a such a nice guy, and I know Tony loved him and valued his friendship for many years. Praying for God to comfort you and hold you in His loving care. This is not the end, we will see our loved ones again.
