Earl "Fred" Grant Jr., 83, of Watervliet passed away on Jan. 17, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.
A memorial visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22, at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Memorial donations in Fred's memory may be made to North Berrien Senior Center. Those wishing to leave an online message for the family may do so at www. duffieldpastrick.com.
Fred was born Nov. 15, 1942, in South Haven to Earl and Mary (Becht) Grant. He was a U.S. Army veteran and employed by the IBEW Local 153 for 34 years, retiring in 2002. Fred was a member of several clubs including Tin Lizzie Travelers, Model T Ford Club International, Model T Ford Club of America, Southwestern Michigan Car Collectors, Kalamazoo Antique Auto Restorers Club, and Rod Knockers. In his early years, Fred was also a member of the Watervliet Jaycees.
Fred is survived by his wife, Barbara, whom he married June 26, 1965; children: Debbie (Darrell) Keltner of Rutherford, Tenn., and Brian (Laura) Grant of Benton Harbor; sisters: Karol (John) Krohne of Dowagiac and Donna Roda of St. Joseph. Also surviving are grandchildren: Rachel (Nick), Bobby (Nicole), Will (Emily), MacKenzie (Nathan), Justin and Ryan (Jen) and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Sam Roda and three nephews: Kirk Parrigin, John Wright and Johnny Krohne.
