Earl S. "Mouse" Lowry

Earl relished his time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren even to the extent of letting the Lowry girls fix his hair and nails.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Earl S. "Mouse" Lowry, 94 of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Legends Senior Living where he had resided for the past month. He was the husband of the late Estella Everard Lowry with whom he was married 66 years until her death in 2018.

A Columbia High School graduate, Earl spent over 40 years in the printing business having worked for the former Art Crafters and Mifflin Press Companies in Columbia along with others throughout his career.

An avid bowler, he served for over 60 years as secretary of the Susquehanna Bowling League. Earl and his wife Estella loved dancing belonging to various dance clubs and together they even learned to Disco dance. He also enjoyed fishing for Bass in the Susquehanna River and fishing at the Schultz family ponds and creeks with the Schultz Boys. Earl relished his time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren even to the extent of letting the Lowry girls fix his hair and nails. In addition, he liked to do puzzles, eating various flavors of ice cream and spending time in Stone Harbor NJ.

He is survived by his children, Brenda L. Lowry; David E. husband of Christine Lowry; Linda K. wife of Richard J. Schultz; his grandchildren, Amanda Lowry, Erin wife of J.J Gambone, Ricky husband of LeighAnn Schultz, Cody Schultz; great grandchildren, Joey Gambone, Revy Schultz, Stella Hutton brothers Buddy, Jerry and Barry Brady and sister Kate King. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Dottie, Bob, Don, Jim, Mike, Grace and Kenny.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
