Earl "Uncle Earl" Manuel

Earl Clinton Manuel, age 67 of Jefferson City, Mo. passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024.
He was born on June 2, 1956, a son of Earl Clinton Manuel, Sr. and Farrie See (Sails) Manuel. Following the passing of his faither, Earl's mother met Levi Ferguson who lovingly accepted the role of father to her children. He was married in Chicago, IL to Christine Donner who preceded him in passing. Earl later met Rachel Renfro who has been by his side for the last several years. She survives in Jefferson City.
Earl attended Gage Park and DuSable High Schools and worked in various industries throughout his adulthood. He performed odd jobs and factory work among many other tasks to make ends meet.
Earl was most well known for his jovial spirit. He was the life of the party wherever he went. Known as "Uncle Earl" around town, his quick wit and ability to bring joy to those around him was unmatched and recognized by many. He found joy in music, rarely found without his Bluetooth speaker and was the first to demand music be playing at all social functions. He relished in spending afternoons at the park or showing off his dancing skills stepping at Christmas time. Christmas Eve was a beloved holiday in Earl's family as it was his parents' anniversary and sure to get everyone together. He was a huge fan of soul food and was skilled in both cooking and eating the fruits of his labor. Earl was funny, charming and charismatic. He will be remembered for his love for his family and his ability to move through life with easy confidence, taking challenges in stride.
Survivors include: his children, Lawrence Q., Davonna, Earl, Mary Louise, and Catrice Manuel; sister, Dorothy Stephenson; a host of grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Earl was greeted in Heaven by his parents and three siblings, Deborah, Timothy, and Raymond Manuel.
