Earl Pryor Jr

Earl Pryor Jr., was born on December 7, 1933 to the late Earl Pryor Sr., and Louella Millings Pryor.
Earl was educated in the Philadelphia School System. He graduated from BOK Vocational High School in 1953. He worked as a parking attendant in center city for many years. Earl also worked as the manager of Our Market located in southwest Philadelphia. Earl later worked as a correctional officer for the City of Philadelphia for 23 years until he retired.
Earl met and married the late Hazel Patterson. From that union was Hazel's son Donald Patterson and the late Eric Pryor.
While working as a manager at Our Market, Earl met Ms. Violet Jones with whom he had spent the last 53 years. They loved to travel together and made several trips to Las Vegas. They enjoyed entertaining the family during the holidays. In addition to traveling and spending time with family, Earl enjoyed collecting stamps, coins and model cars.
Earl departed this life on Saturday, October 19, 2024, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Earl is survived by his brother, Edward Pryor of Philadelphia; his lifelong companion Ms. Violet Jones and her daughter, Stephanie; grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah May (James) and Joyce Taylor (Henry.
